Alex was a very special little boy. We nicknamed him Peanut because he was so small. He was born with a rare undiagnosed syndrome and struggled with life from the start. He had to be tube fed and sedated at night time. I wish he hadn't suffered so much. The day he passed was a release from all his pain and struggles.

Dear Peanut.
I went to your grave and put a cherub on there. I also put a battery operated candle so it will be alight over this Christmas period! Precious memories of a Precious little boy.

God sent an Angel to the Earth...
The sweetest Angel too
And for such a tiny little thing,
He had so much to do.
He knew he did not have
Much time upon this earth to stay,
So he did not waste a second;
He got started right away.
His eyes were bright and sparkly,
He took in every turn.
He did not miss a single thing,
Because Angel came to learn!
God sent him here to touch the
Hearts of those he could not reach...
He taught them courage, strength and faith,
Because Angel came to teach.
His tiny little body
Was so full of God above,
You felt it when you held him,
Because Alexander came to love.
In 2 short months he managed
What many never will.
When he went home to Jesus,
His purpose was fulfilled.
He learned and taught, loved and played,
He learned his lessons well.
I know he was so proud of him
When he went home to dwell.
But when I miss him OH-SO-MUCH,
I can almost hear God say,
Please understand, his work was done...
Alexander did not come to stay.

But God gave his bravest warriors,
An extra burden too.
So you came to this earth in a body,

To needles, machines and tubes.

To see someone as special as you,
Suffer in a body beyond repair.
So when you'd honourably completed,
Every trial you were assigned.
God chose to bring you back to him,
Freeing your bright spirit and mind.
